As well as the usual fresh farm produce from 8:30am, there will lots of fibre artists displaying and selling their work and a program of short talks and demonstrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Festival Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Saturday May 31st<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s the schedule for the morning:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>9:00am \u2013 Festival Opening, Polly Stirling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>9:15 &#8211; Silkworm raising and processing &#8211; Kerry Lord-Negus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>9:45 &#8211; Spinning and Storytelling &#8211; Hellena Post<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10:15 &#8211; Felting \u2013 Katherine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10:45 &#8211; Backstrap Weaving &#8211; Paula Cordeiro<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>11:15 &#8211; Basket Weaving &#8211; Fiona and Cherie Shadwell<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>11:45 &#8211; Crocheting &#8211; Sally Ariad<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>12:15 &#8211; Natural Dyeing &#8211; Jenny Creasy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>12:45 &#8211; Embroidery &#8211; Eric Smith<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Any changes to the schedule will be on the Blue Knob Farmer&#8217;s Market Facebook page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hand\u2019s On Fibre Workshops<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In June Follow-on workshops from the Festival are already open for registrations. There\u2019s two so far and more to follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Basket Weaving Using Natural Fibres<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Saturday June 7th<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Cherie &amp; Fiona Shadwell Use leaves from flax, red hot pokers, day lilies etc to make a useful, hardwearing and attractive basket. You will learn how to plan, design, layout and make a felt picture you can hang on the wall or use to make a cushion cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Catherine has been felting for many years both as an artist and a teacher.
